About the Hospital

Marian Community Hospital is an acute care Catholic Community Hospital sponsored by the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Scranton, PA. The hospital was formed 1992 by the coming together of the former Carbondale General and Saint Joseph's Hospitals in a tradition of the healing ministry of the Catholic Church in order to serve the community. The hospital is committed to meeting the healthcare needs of residents of the Northern Lackawanna Valley region, and part of Susquehanna and Wayne Counties.
