President And Chief Executive Officer Maxis Health System

Mary Theresa Vautrinot has served as the President and Chief Executive Officer for Maxis Health System since 2005.

Prior to her appointment at Maxis Health System, Vautrinot served as Chief Operating Officer for Holy Family Memorial Medical Center in Manitowoc, WI, overseeing the operations of the 199-bed facility which employs 510 full-time employees with net revenues of $225 million.

From 1999 through 2002, she was associate vice president of the University of Pennsylvania Health System’s Pennsylvania Hospital in charge of operations for the facility’s Behavioral Health Services, Women’s Services, the Department of Education, and the Center for Bloodless Medicine and Surgery.

Earlier in her career, from 1998 to 1999, she was a healthcare management consultant for Bates and Associates in Philadelphia, PA. From 1996 to 1998, she served as the Director of the Women and Children’s Center in Arlington, TX. In the early 1990s she served as a nurse executive at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Easton Hospital, Easton, PA. From 1984 to 1990 she was a nurse manager at Lankenau Hospital in Philadelphia.

Vautrinot graduated with a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Pennsylvania in 1984. She earned her bachelor’s degree in behavioral health from Neumann College in Aston, PA in 1981. Among her many accomplishments and awards, while she was at Penn her department was named one of the best in the Delaware Valley in Women’s Services by US News and World Report.

Located in Carbondale PA, Maxis Health System and its components are sponsored by the Congregation of Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Maxis Health System officially joined CHE on July 1, 2004. Maxis and the entities which make up the system provide an integrated network of healthcare in Northeastern Pennsylvania. The system works with other community leaders to identify and address unmet needs in the area, with an ultimate goal of fostering a higher quality of life for all residents.

Maxis Health System encompasses three organizations in Northeastern Pennsylvania: Marian Community Hospital; Maxis Medical Services, Inc. and Maxis Foundation (including the Marian Community Hospital Auxiliary).
