Marian Community Hospital is effectively using microvascular therapy for the treatment of Peripheral Neuropathy, pain management, lower extremity circulation and stress incontinence.  The new therapy is a modality of the Physical Therapy Department which addresses these conditions from a different prospective working directly and mechanically to move blood flow through neuromuscular stimulation.

The therapy is a painless and safe. Using a unique digital technology, the treatment directs powerful electronic wave forms completely through the patient’s limb or body stimulating neuromuscular contractions at the deepest levels. Group emitter pacts drive the skeletal muscle pump to increase circulation to the treatment area. The muscle pump drives the blood to and through the treatment area per fusing the tissue with a higher level of blood and tissue oxygenation that dramatically accelerates the wound healing process. Soft tissue injuries heal faster and rebuild muscle fiber better with adequate oxygen and nutrients. Almost immediately, the level of oxygen is elevated in the treatment area.
